Milestone Badge Fees
The Milestone Badge Fees are per badge registration and due at the time the Milestone Badge Application is submitted to the Certification Authority. To pay your fee, select the badge name to be taken to our shop.

* - For Level 1 certification, you need to have 2 Experience Profile Milestone badges and for certification at Levels 2 and 3, you need to have 3 Experience Profile Milestone badges.
Certification Fees
The Certification Fees are per certification registration and due at the time the Certification / Experience Application is submitted to the Certification Authority. Select the Certification Level to make payment in our shop. Candidate must hold the requisite Milestone Badges, as defined in the applicable Configuration Document, in order to register for certification.

The Certification Fee is due in addition to the fees for the prerequisite Milestone Badges. The total cost to achieve certification is $1100 for Level 1 and $1500 for Levels 2 and 3, inclusive of the Milestone Badge fees and the Certification fee.
Re-Certification Fees
There is no specific fee for re-certification. The fees paid are those for the required Professional Development Milestone Badge and the Experience Profile Milestone Badge (or alternative Declaration of Continued Practice). The Declaration of Continued Practice may be used when re-certifying at the same Level and in the same Discipline/Speciality as your existing certification.
Notes
Milestone Badge and Certification fees are the same across all professions - Architect (Open CA), Data Scientist (Open CDS), Technical Specialist (CTS), Trusted Technology Practitioner (CTTP).
Initial certification is valid for a period of 3 years. Re-certification is required three years from the prior certification or re-certification date. Certification within a profession at a new level or in a different discipline/specialty is considered a new certification.
If your Annual Fee was due anytime up to and including June 30, 2019, you are required to pay the fee in order to maintain your certification. If your certification has been deactivated due to failure to pay your Annual Fee, click here to see how to pay the fee and re-instate your certification.
The fees are payable in US dollars by credit card or Paypal at the time of registration. Fees are not refundable. The fees listed above are quoted net of all applicable taxes and duties which, where appropriate, will be payable by the Candidate to the Certification Authority (or to the relevant tax authorities as applicable). The Open Group reserves the right to change these fees without notice.
These fees are applicable to individuals registering directly with The Open Group. People employed by an organization with an Accredited Certification Program should consult their program representatives regarding their organization's fee arrangement.
